The Randomly Generated Planet "Restenoi"

Generate a completely random world to settle and transform.

Let's Talk Playable Worlds - TerraGenesis

Alexander Winn explains the Random Planet Generator

One of the packs you can purchase in TerraGenesis (or get with the All-Access Pack) is the Random Planet Generator. Purchasing this allows you to infinitely generate randomized worlds, with randomly generated names, ranging from lush green paradises to hellish planets with thick atmospheres. Some of these worlds can even harbour alien life in the form of Native Civilizations and/or Biospheres. However, if you were hoping to, you can’t find a habitable world to humans/animals, so you can’t get a major head start. This is because the generator never makes planets with a habitable amount of oxygen (in my testing at least).

Mechanics[]

Once you have started a game on a random world, that random world will be saved, and you can create new games on that same random world. If you choose to reload a world without starting a game on a it, or delete all of your saves on a world, that unused world will be lost.

Planets[]

Planets are randomly generated with different surfaces, and their description page is also listed like this:

[planet name]

[class size]

Temperature:

Pressure:

Oxygen:

Sea Level:

Ideal Sea Level:

Elevation Range:

MOONS (optional)

- [moon name] (class size)

Native Civilization Detected (optional)

Biomass levels were not added on the description.

The planet's surfaces can be as simple as plain mix of colors with no atmosphere, hot/cold planets that have high/low pressure levels with oxygen and few water, lush green planets that have full biomass requirements and habitable for plants/humans, lava worlds, worlds with high oxygen etc. Elevation is also randomly generated too, their highest points are around 5 to a whopping 100 km above the sea level! The higher the elevation, the higher the water goals are.

Updates[]

Thanks to the 5.7 update, Lava Worlds can now be found among the worlds generated, and the 5.15 update overhauled the entire generation system.

Statistics[]

Random worlds can be classified into distinct types, and there's a probability for each of them.

World Type Description Chance
Barren All stats but temperature are 0. 45%
Low Oxygen Planet has pressure and a low amount of oxygen. 15%
High Oxygen Planet has pressure and a high amount of oxygen. 2%
High Pressure Planet has a high level of pressure. 6.5%
Native Biosphere Planet has biomass / biosphere on it. 25%
Native Civilization Planet has Native Civilization 12.5%
Lava Planet Planet temperature is greater than 1,500,000mk.

Very rarely has a pa greater than 0.

4%

Note: If you're going to add any other world types besides barren, try to back it up stastically with atleast 1000 random planets.
