Certain Events can only occur on the world when playing on Expert Mode.

Worldkiller Asteroids have their own dedicated page, since they are not like other events.

Solar Winds[]

A massive increase in solar activity has resulted in significantly stronger solar winds heading toward (the) [world]. Already have begun stripping away the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Effect: Permanent pressure decrease per minute of around -50 pa.

Solar Activity[]

A massive increase in solar activity has resulted in spiking temperatures all across (the) [world]! We hope the effects will die down eventually, but for now we'll just have to accept this.

Effect: Permanent Temperature increase per minute.

Fissure Vents[]

A massive fissure vent has opened on the surface of [world]! It is spilling heat onto the surface, and our engineers have no way to close it anytime soon.

Effect: Permanent Temperature increase per minute.

A massive fissure vent˚ has opened on the surface of [world]! It is spilling toxic gasses into the atmosphere and diluting the oxygen content significantly.

Effect: Permanent Oxygen decrease per minute.

A massive fissure vent has opened on the surface of [world]! It is spilling toxic gasses into the air and thickening our atmosphere significantly.

Effect: Permanent pressure increase per minute.

It cannot block fissure vents by flooding them with water[1]. Fissure Vents can occur on any world. Also cannot remove them by melting the world, even though it would in real life.

Fire From Below[]

[City] has been hit by a devastating volcanic eruption! [number, 1-2] facilities were destroyed, and [number] people were killed in the blast. The worst seems to be over for now, but it will take years for [City] to recover.

It only occurs in Normal difficulty when playing on Ragnarok, Io, or any planet that has lava on it.

Fire From Above[]

[Moon] has been hit by a devastating volcanic eruption! [number, 1-5] facilities were destroyed, and [number] people were killed in the blast. The worst seems to be over for now, but it will take years for [moon] to recover.
